First in my age (Suzy West – a past Mtn Goat series winner) beat me by 5 min and the second place girl under a minute ahead of me. Next time! 🙂

Great course, good people, great weather — I love the home town feeling of these mountain races. You are welcomed like a family member and see lots of familiar faces because not too many runners get into this type of running. It is definitely not for the feint at heart. 🙂
Lots of uphill, trails, rocks, tree limbs and foliage hitting your legs. Just a few scratches and only one twist in the ankle. This course has a crazy downhill long finish under the power lines where you almost have to jump every “water bar” headed down the hill, hope your footing is right on not to trip on your own feet!
